GCMHP organized a specialized three-day training titled "Child Protection Policy", attended by 14 members of the Community Accountability Center in Gaza City. This training was part of GCMHP's ongoing efforts to build the capacities of service providers in the Gaza Strip.
The course aimed to equip participants with fundamental concepts of child protection, raise awareness about various forms of violence and violations that children may face, and focus on protection mechanisms, prevention measures, and relevant international legislation.
The second day of the training included interactive workshops on intervention skills in cases of violence against children, as well as training on reporting, documentation, and appropriate referral pathways. The third day was dedicated to activities promoting participants' self-care, along with a final assessment to evaluate the benefits gained from the training.
This training reflects GCMHP's commitment to fostering a culture of child protection as an integral part of community mental health and strengthening the role of local institutions in effectively responding to children's issues.
